HONG Kong stocks opened 0.24 per cent higher on Monday following a positive lead from Wall Street on hopes US lawmakers will be able to seal a deal to avert a fiscal crisis.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index gained 50.94 points to 21,209.95 in the first minutes of trade.
