Several birds have been stolen from a wildlife park in Sydney’s west.
Police say a man broke into the park at Doonside late on Christmas eve, cutting off the locks of aviaries and stealing 10 birds, worth around $ 15,000 to $ 18,000.
Two of the birds were macaws, valued at around $ 6,000 each, while two cockatoos and six doves were also taken.
Officers believe the theft was carefully targeted and say the man had good knowledge of the park.
