Washington Redskins star rookie Robert Griffin III started Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Griffin, who missed last week’s game against the Cleveland Browns due to a sprained right knee, was cleared to play by Redskins doctors on Saturday, league sources told ESPN.

Griffin wore a brace on his knee, which could limit the quarterback’s mobility against the rival Eagles.
However, the Redskins (8-6) do not believe there will be many limitations on Griffin as they try to capture the NFC East title with wins in the season’s final two weeks.
Griffin went through a full practice Friday for the third straight day and was listed as probable on the team’s injury report.
Griffin was outstanding in the previous game between the Redskins and Eagles, completing 14 of 15 passes for 200 yards and four touchdowns while running for 84 yards.
Redskins offensive tackle Tyler Polumbus was inactive after leaving last week’s game with a concussion.
The Eagles listed quarterback Michael Vick, guard Danny Watkins and defensive end Darryl Tapp as inactive.
Vick was cleared to play this week from a concussion that has cost him most of the last month of the season. But Vick won’t even dress for the home finale.
Watkins, a former first-round pick, was not listed on the injury report this week and was a healthy scratch. Tapp also was a healthy scratch.
